Players are assumed to start as 300 point Genin in the service of Itsuriku. While players may eventually learn the same abilities as legendary warriors and magicians, they won’t likely be capable of legendary feats right off the bat. In Naminzoku, most special skills and magic are closely guarded secrets. Almost anyone has the potential to learn them, but they must first meet the appropriate prerequisites. These prerequisites may be stricter than normal GURPS, but this usually represents the higher standards of the masters that teach them.
